At least 184 people are dead Friday morning after a cowardly attack on the quiet residents of a small province in Egypt’s North Sinai city of Arish, according to CNN.

The nightmare began while at least 120 Muslims were enjoying Friday worship at Al Rawdah mosque in Bir Al-Abed when a massive explosion rocked the tiny temple. The building was devastated by the blast, but that wasn’t the end of the massacre, as gunmen waited to shoot anyone who ran out of the mosque for safety.
