Former Head of Homeland Security: No Need For Border Wall

During the George W. Bush administration, many thought they were going overboard with all of their policies after 9/11. The Department of Homeland Security was a constant topic of conversation for often racially profiling travelers and whatnot.

That entire era, which seemed like hell at the time, looks like a f**king trip to Hawaii now! We had no idea how good/how “not bad” we had it. But, since Donald Trump’s been our president, the level of racism present in the Department of Homeland Security has been appalling.

Donald Trump has made it no secret that he desperately wants a border wall dividing the United States from Mexico. He’s campaigned for it, constantly brought it up in Congress and even tweeted prototypes of the potential barrier. But Americans think this idea is ridiculous for a number of reasons. Why, even the former head of the Department of Homeland Security, under George W. Bush, Tom Ridge, thinks this is an outlandish plan.

According to CBS News, When asked his thoughts on that matter during an interview, Ridge replied, “I don’t think we need it. I think there are things we can do with technology that foregoes the need to build a 3,000 mile border [wall] with a neighbor.”

Tom Ridge then added, “I prefer presidents that tear down walls rather than build them.” So do we, Tom. So do we. But we sincerely doubt we’re going to experience any “togetherness” under a Donald J. Trump regime. The man has already isolated us from the rest of the world in under a year – it’d be preposterous to assume he can unite his own country before he’s impeached.

Donald J. Trump isn’t only a detriment to society – he’s a hazard to the world at large. And he must be stopped immediately.
