Donald Trump’s face has found itself plastered on thousands of magazine covers over the decades, however, since taking office those using Trump’s likeness have decided to take some liberties.
The latest issue of the New York Post which was released this Friday pictures Trump Cabinet officials competing on a hypothetical season of “Survivor.”
The New York Post shared an early preview of the cover on Thursday evening following the resignation of yet another Trump official, declaring “EPA chief Scott Pruitt is out — and we’re back for Season 2 of Survivor White House.”
Matt Drudge, the founder of the conservative news aggregation site Drudge Report also poked fun at Pruitt’s resignation.
“Hot summer viewing!” Drudge wrote while sharing the cover.
The tweet followed hours after President Trump announced that Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt had stepped down.
Pruitt resigned after a series of damaging details were revealed regarding his ethics, management, and spending.
The Post has used “Survivor” several times to poke fun at Trump throughout his time as president. The newspaper first released a cover depicting Trump’s White House as “Survivor” in July 2017 which featured the faces of his top advisers and officials.
The media outlet also poked fun at the Trump administration back in March after the White House announced that the president would replace Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. The Post crossed out Tillerson’s face with a red “X,” in addition to the faces of former chief strategist Stephen Bannon, former chief of staff Reince Priebus and former communications director Anthony Scaramucci.
“Another one bites the dust!” the paper declared.
