Roy Moore pleads for money from supporters to battle his victims in court

In a post that published this past Thursday on his campaign’s Facebook page, Moore begged his supporters for contributions to his legal defense fund. Moore has spammed regular fundraising emails for the money he lost during the 2017 election to Senator Doug Jones, a Democrat. However, the link to the donation site suggests that Moore has only raised a mere $32,000 of a $250,000 goal.

“My resources have been depleted and I have struggled to make ends meet, but I have not lost my faith in our God, who is our true source of strength and will never leave or forsake us,” Moore wrote.

Moore failed to win the election after he was engulfed by accusations that claimed he pursued romantic and sexual relationships with teens as a man in his 30s. Moore dimiss the accusations of sexual misconduct, and had to publicly declare that he never dated “underage” girls

Leigh Corfman, who claims that Moore molested her when she was 14 and he was in his 30s, has an ongoing civil lawsuit held against Moore. She says Moore and his campaign defamed her by denying her the allegations.

In the pathetic post, Moore launches one last attack on the “liberal media” as well as “gays, lesbians, and transgenders have joined forces with those who believe in abortion, sodomy, and destruction of all that we hold dear.”

Moore was once a chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court. A state board in December approved a $135,000 annual retirement for him because of his time spent on the state bench.
