White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders didn’t help the president’s cause by admitting that Trump is furious over Steve Bannon’s new book. (see video below)
Huckabee Sanders was asked, “And important if he was furious when these reports first came out about Bannon, quoted as saying — is that an accurate depiction?”
She answered, “I think furious, disgusted would probably certainly fit when you make such outrageous claims and completely false claims against the president. His administration, and his family.”
When there are questions flying around minute by minute about Trump’s fitness for office, having the Press Secretary describe him as furious over a book that was written by a former staffer is a big problem. Other administrations would have sought to downplay the president’s reaction because his real job is running the country. In theory, a president is supposed to be too busy to worry about the books that come out about him.
Sanders’ answer made Trump look even pettier and out of control that he is already assumed to be. Trump’s Team of Incompetents can’t handle anything, even something as small as a self-created crisis of presidential ego bruising without screwing it up.
The White House Press Secretary confirmed that Trump is unstable, and she acted like this is a good thing.
Trump and his administration of dysfunctional enablers can’t be kicked to the curb fast enough.
