Sarah Huckabee Sanders tells women to ask their husbands for Jewelry

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders during a White House empowerment forum called “A Conversation with the Women of America,” a panel member stated that she owned an Atlanta jewelry store.

Sanders, the emcee of the panel, chimed in to help the woman—and toss the idea of women’s empowerment out the window. She encouraged the women at the event to “give your husbands, your boyfriends her contact information.”

Yes, she could have said something like “I know where I’m going to get my next mom earrings from!” Or, “Do you have any necklaces that tells people ‘I sold my soul but am looking for happiness’?” Or even “Well, now we know where to get our power broaches once we start kicking ass!”

Nope. She told them to have their husbands buy them jewelry. She might as well said that they should stay in the kitchen and raise their babies while their husbands went to work, and then ask him to buy her jewelry.

But don’t worry, Ivanka Trump was there to chime in and somehow make the entire thing worse.

“We’re going to have to send some people your way,” Ivanka Trump added. “My secret skill, matchmaking.”
