Throughout Trump’s presidency, VP Mike Pence has supported the Trump dog and pony show publicly. Whenever Pence appears, he plays the innocent card and puts on the caring politician act. However, people who know Pence’s stance on controversial policies, realize he isn’t the person he wants people to believe he is.
The Atlantic just released a report that suggests some bad blood between the president and the Pence family. Trump reportedly makes Pence’s wife feel “disgusted,” and Trump is “embarrassed” by the Pence family’s need to have their pets living with them.
The Atlantic’s source, an adviser close to Trump, said Trump called the Pence’s “low class” when they brought their family pets to the Naval Observatory.
The adviser stated, “He was embarrassed by it, he thought it was so low class. He thinks the Pences are yokels.”
Via The Atlantic:
When it was reported last January that the Pences would be moving some of their family pets—which include two cats, a rabbit, and a snake—into the Naval Observatory, Trump ridiculed the menagerie to his secretary, according to a longtime adviser. “He was embarrassed by it; he thought it was so low class,” says the adviser. “He thinks the Pences are yokels.”
The fact that Trump is anti-animals doesn’t come as a surprise. Just that point alone should have been enough to convince people not to vote for him. Someone who doesn’t love animals can never be trusted.
