Trump infuriated after being accused in lawsuit filled by New York Attorney (Details)

Donald Trump and his family have once again found themselves engulfed in a wave of controversy and not the fun kind either.

According to the New York Times, New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood filed a lawsuit Thursday morning against President Trump, the Donald J. Trump Foundation and members of the Trump family accusing the charity of knowingly ignoring federal and state laws to illegally aid the president’s campaign.

The lawsuit suggest that Trump used the foundation to support his 2016 presidential bid, and that the charity made an illegal donation upwards of $2.8 million to his campaign.

(Nope, you didn’t read that wrong, Trump a multi-billionaire used charitable funds to pay off his campaign costs.)

The document, filed in the New York State Supreme Court, also accuses Trump of unethically using the foundation’s assets for his properties and businesses, including to resolve a legal dispute centered around his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida and to obtain a portrait of himself at a charity auction.

(Again, a billionaire used money that would’ve gone to cancer research, to purchase a picture of himself.)

“For more than a decade, the Donald J. Trump Foundation has operated in persistent violation of state and federal law governing New York State charities,” the complaint reads.

“This pattern of illegal conduct by the Foundation and its board members includes improper and extensive political activity, repeated and willful self-dealing transactions, and failure to follow basic fiduciary obligations or to implement event elementary corporate formalities required by law.”

Trump was infuriated by the accusations:

Even if there wasn’t evidence against him, which there is, It isn’t exactly difficult to believe that the man who thinks that Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un are “great” men would steal money from charity to elevate his status in the world.
