Fox News host Jeanine Pirro has spoken with President Trump regarding the possibility of a book that would be focused on leading opposition to New York media writer Michael Wolff’s “Fire and Fury.”
The New York Times confirmed Saturday that Pirro had a meeting with Trump at the White House this week to speak with him about the project, which has been noted to by some in the West Wing as “No Fire, No Fury.”
During the meeting, the Times reported, Trump had complied to be interviewed for the opposition piece.
Pirro is due to release a book entitled “Liars, Leakers and Liberals” come June, and it’s not clear if that title could be used to fight back against Wolff’s book, which details a chaotic White House helmed by an unpredictable and unstable mad man.
In a new statement provided to the Times by Fox News, Pirro claimed that the book would be a direct response to “Fire and Fury.”
“My upcoming book is not a direct response to ‘Fire and Fury.’ The title on Amazon always has been and continues to be ‘Liars, Leakers and Liberals’ and I plan to cover all of them,” she said.
Pirro has proven herself to be one of Trump’s most vocal defenders on television, routinely making use of on-air monologues to attack those who criticize the president.
Wolff’s book reportedly angered Trump, who looked to push back against his claims that he was ill-prepared to take on the responsibilities of the presidency. He has declared that the book is instead “full of lies, misrepresentations and sources that don’t exist.”
