Leave it to the Trump family to kick a man when is down and to also take a stance so hypocritical that it has erupted such a powerful wave of scrutiny that it is a miracle any of them are still standing so proud.
Donald Trump Jr. just poked fun at Senator Al Franken after he sombrely announced his own resignation this Thursday by mocking one of the former comedian’s “Saturday Night Live” characters.
“…because I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and God-darnit people like me. #Franken,” Trump Jr. tweeted. The quote being a direct reference to Franken’s “SNL” character Stuart Smalley, who was the host of the show’s mock segment “Daily Affirmations With Stuart Smalley.

Franken also penned a novel in character as Smalley, entitled “I’m Good Enough, I’m Smart Enough, & Doggone It, People Like Me!
The tweet comes in the aftermath of Franken announcing his resignation from the Senate, which came after he faced massive amounts of pressure from his Democratic colleagues after a number of sexual misconduct allegations were held against him.
“I know in my heart that nothing I have done as a senator, nothing, has brought dishonor on this institution, and I am confident that the Ethics Committee would agree. Nevertheless, today I am announcing that in the coming weeks I will be resigning as a member of the United States Senate,” Franken said in a speech on the Senate floor.
Franken is the latest high-profile male to be removed from his job amidst numerous sexual misconduct allegations.
His Democratic colleague in the House, Representative John Conyers Jr. also declared his resignation after giving into the allegations held against him this past Tuesday
America stands amidst a new revolution, and a much needed one at that.
