Trump’s Presidency is Over, Flynn is Cooperating With Mueller’s Team

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has never directly spoken with the media, or public in general for that matter, regarding his investigation. He lets his actions speak for him and speak they do. His latest move speaks volumes and confirms that he is in fact negotiating a plea deal with Michael Flynn.

Flynn has signaled that he’s looking to separate himself from Trump by terminating his information shared agreement that he had with Trump’s team, as confirmed by CNN. Then Flynn’s attorneys met with Mueller and the grand jury against him suddenly halted progress, which strongly suggested that the deal is locked down.

Michael Flynn just pled guilty to lying to the FBI and has been taken into custody, which is confirmed by all major news outlets.

But it gets worse for Trump.
Michael Flynn has confirmed Donald Trump instructed him to make contact with the Russians

JUST IN: @BrianRoss on @ABC News Special Report: Michael Flynn promised “full cooperation to the Mueller team” and is prepared to testify that as a candidate, Donald Trump “directed him to make contact with the Russians.” https://t.co/aiagnvr8eS pic.twitter.com/r8u2LWAd0O

Former White House chief ethics lawyer Richard Painter put it succinctly: “Canary bird will sing. The beginning of the end.”

Keith Boykin of CNN quoted Michael Flynn’s words about Hillary Clinton from the 2016 Republican National Convention: “Lock her up! Lock her up! If I did a tenth of what she did, I would be in jail today.”

Harvard Law Professor Laurence Tribe says: “This means he is indeed cooperating with Mueller as Mueller climbs up the food chain.”

Mueller’s decision to halt the grand jury means Flynn has really began cooperating and working out the details of that cooperation. Once he gives them enough intel, Mueller will move on to bigger fish and that much closer to taking down Trump.

This has all played out exactly how Mueller intended. While it’s easy to get frustrated with what looks like slow progress, moves like this show us just why we can trust Mueller to get the job done.
