Breaking: Trump And Republican Senate Leader Start Attacking Each Other

One of the most influential members of the Senate, Senator Bob Corker, who heads the powerful Senate Foreign Relations Committee, just unleashed a series of statements aired on television denouncing President Trump. And, it’s pretty serious, especially considering he is a member of Trump’s own party.

Here are a few of the bombshell statements he made about Trump:

Corker: Trump is “absolutely not” a role model, will be remembered for the “debasement of our nation.”

Corker says he would NOT support Trump in another election, “he’s proven himself unable to rise to the occasion.”

Corker on Trump: “I think world leaders are very aware that much of what he says is untrue.”

Shortly after Senator Corker made the statements, Trump went into a frenzy on Twitter, wasting no time unleashing attacks of his own.

It must be noted that Trump said the U.S. has done a “poor job.” But, even though Corker heads the committee, Trump still oversees the nation’s foreign policy interests. He can’t sidestep that responsibility.

This type of infighting within the Republican Party isn’t healthy and it’s another major reason Trump has yet to pass any substantial legislation in Congress, despite Republicans maintaining control over both chambers.

Shortly after Trump made the tweets, Corker appeared on CNN and said: “nothing he said was accurate.” He said not only were Trump’s statements not true, but they were completely “unprovable.”

“Trump endorsed me four times and encouraged me to run, so those tweets aren’t true at all.”
