Donald Trump has basically made a presidential career out of saying controversial things and using the backlash to hide his true agenda. But it appears this time he may have finally put his foot in his mouth for good.

Representative Al Green stated this Friday that he will be enforcing another House floor vote on impeachment, following the latest news that President Trump had expressed a personal preference for immigrants to come from places like Norway over “shithole countries” like Haiti and African nations.

Green, a long time member of the Congressional Black Caucus, had previously enforced a controversial floor vote on his articles of impeachment against Trump last month.

A total of 58 Democrats, including Al Green, voiced their support of impeachment, even though the overall effort was a failure.

“Congressional condemnation of racist bigotry is not enough. In Congress, talk is cheap-it’s how we vote that counts. Next week, I will again bring a resolution to impeach @realDonaldTrump. I will put my vote where my mouth is,” Green tweeted.

Green swore after last month’s impeachment vote that he would force his colleagues to vote on impeachment again, but failed to specify when.

Green’s articles of impeachment claimed that Trump is “fueling an alt-right hate machine” that’s “causing immediate injury to American society.”

The articles of impeachment note Trump’s shocking response to the violence caused by a white supremacist march in Charlottesville, Virgina, last August as well as his attacks on NFL players kneeling during the national anthem in order to protest policy brutality.

Impeachment may not be the most plausible way to bring Trump down, but even a shot in the dark is worth taking.
